[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The final phase of the \u201cUFI CUP\u201d<\/strong> has come to an end; the competition, which involved students of the schools of Shanghai, aimed at sensitising the young generations towards the respect of the environment. UFI Filters has been the exclusive proud partner of the Shanghai Daily<\/strong> in this event.<\/p>\n

The 10 best students, out of the 1.500 candidates that participated at the English Essay Writing Competition \u201cUFI CUP\u201d<\/strong>, have qualified to the finals that took place on June 5th<\/sup>, in occasion of the World Environment Day, in the Great Hall of Shanghai Daily Headquarter, in Shanghai, China.<\/p>\n

The main topics discussed by the students in their essays were recycling, plastic, pollution and ways to make Shanghai and the world better and greener.
\nThe students were evaluated by a panel of 5 judges among which there were Mr. Rinaldo Facchini, UFI Filters Chief Executive Officer<\/strong>, and Mr. Antonio Farese from China-Italy Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>, through an impromptu speech of 5 minutes and a Q&A session. The audience was composed of local authorities, university professors, families, classmates and 30 selected UFI Group representatives led by Mr. Giorgio Girondi, Chairman of UFI FILTERS<\/strong>, exclusive sponsor of this initiative.<\/p>\n

The top 3 winners were selected according to the judges\u2019 evaluation, as well as the online voting. The first prize was worth 5,000 yuan, second prize 3,000 yuan and the third prize 1,000 yuan. Furthermore, the winners will also see their essays published in the local newspaper Shanghai Daily.
\nAs an added bonus, one contestant was elected \u201cChampion\u201d of the Environmental Practices English Essay Competition and earned an UFI Eco-Tour<\/strong> to Italy with their family. This special prize was delivered by Mr. Giorgio Girondi, Chairman of UFI FILTERS<\/strong>, who will also personally welcome this lucky family to UFI headquarters in Nogarole Rocca (Italy), next month.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
